About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our team at Avera DeSmet Memorial Hospital. As an MLT, you will be responsible for performing a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures, and related duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day operations of laboratory instrumentation or disciplines
- Quality control, calibration, reagent preparation, etc.
- Corrective action and test result correlation
- Communication of laboratory data and technical information
- Training and guidance of team members
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- An Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technologist or equivalent
- MLT certification within 1 year from American Medical Technologists (AMT) or American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
