Location: Avera Gregory Hospital
Work Type: Part-time
Shift: Day Shift (Monday-Friday 6am-4:30pm and 7am-5:30pm)
About the Job:
We are seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Avera Gregory Hospital. This is a great opportunity for a MLT or MLS looking to work in a dynamic laboratory environment.
Responsibilities:
* Performs clinical laboratory tests, procedures, and related duties using scientific principles and technical aptitudes.
* Responsible for day-to-day operations of laboratory instrumentation or disciplines, including supply inventory, quality control, calibration, reagent preparation, etc.
* Accurately performs basic to complex clinical laboratory testing following established procedure, protocol, techniques, and manufacturer guidelines.
* Communicates laboratory data and pertinent technical information to appropriate departments, healthcare providers, and individuals in an accurate and timely fashion.
* Participates in established lab CQI or other laboratory activities as assigned.
Requirements:
* Associate's Transcript showing Medical Laboratory Technology degree or Technical Certificate Transcript showing Medical Laboratory Technology degree.
* Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - American Medical Technologists (AMT) within 1 Year or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) within 1 Year.
