Delivers Nursing Care bydeveloping a nursing diagnosis; establishing nursing careobjectives; defining nursing interventions; providing physical,emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients,families, and friends to understand patient conditions,medications, and self-care skills; re-evaluating care objectives.Provides patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions;communicating the nursing care plan and all pertinent informationto other members of the health care team; coordinating with otherhealthcare providers; providing physical, emotional, psychological,and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends; Developsnursing care plans by obtaining medical histories; documentingpatient physical condition, psychological status, and influencingsocial factors; developing a nursing diagnosis; establishingnursing care objectives; defining nursing interventions, schedules,and timetables. Teaches healthcare requirements by establishingpatient care goals; instructing patient, family, and friends tounderstand condition, medications, and self-care skills; Evaluatespatient care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring healthoutcomes against patient care standards; re-evaluating careobjectives; modifying nursing care plan. Maintains safe, secure,and healthy patient care environment by adhering toinfection-control policies and protocols, medication administrationand storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations;adhering to organization standards and policies, and to legalregulations; Documents patient care services by charting in patientand department records. Keeps patient care equipment operating byfollowing operating instructions and established procedures; Keepspatient care supplies ready by checking stock; stocking items.Maintains competence in nursing capabilities outlined byleadership.
