A Physical Therapy Assistant
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team at Avera. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care, documenting treatment plans, and collaborating with licensed physical therapists to ensure effective patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Follows ethics and standards as defined by the American Physical Therapy Association and Avera policy and procedures.
- Provides treatments to patients in an efficient and timely manner in accordance with the PT plan of care and physician's orders.
- Communicates effectively with therapists to ensure seamless treatment delivery.
- Documents patient progress and treatment plans accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assists with clinical education of physical therapist assistant students.
Requirements
- An active license in the state of practice upon hire.
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program or less than 1 year of related experience and/or training.
