Job Summary
This position is a Registered Nurse (RN) working day shifts in Sioux Falls, floating to different specialty clinics. The role involves providing professional nursing care to patients and families, communicating with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general nursing care to patients, including administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
- Coordinate patient care activities for the clinic, preparing equipment and assisting providers during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing of patients.
- Screen patients for appropriate information, obtaining health history, taking vitals, and conducting a nursing assessment, documenting obtained information in patient charts.
- Instruct patients in collection of samples and tests, responding to patient phone calls in a timely manner with input from physicians.
- Educate patients and families about diagnostic processes, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness.
Requirements
- A registered nurse (RN) license in good standing, active in the state of practice upon hire.
