Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Avera Mother Joseph Manor Retirement Community
Shift: Rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends
A compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse is needed to join our team at Avera Mother Joseph Manor. As a Registered Nurse in this PRN position, you will provide exceptional nursing care to residents, develop and implement personalized care plans, and work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to residents, including developing and implementing care plans, teaching residents about their care, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Coordinate with healthcare teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Teach residents and their families about health conditions, medications, and self-care skills to promote independence and empowerment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident care, including medical histories, physical conditions, and psychological status.
- Evaluate resident care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against resident care standards, and re-evaluating care objectives as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers to and from the facility.
- Direct, plan, and coordinate workflow of nursing assistants and other nursing personnel.
- Maintain competence in nursing capabilities outlined by leadership, including adherence to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license - Board of Nursing An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire
- 1-3 years Experience working in a clinical or long-term care environment (Preferred)
