Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing, treating, and managing cardiopulmonary disorders in patients of all ages.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients to determine the best course of respiratory care and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Administer oxygen therapy, breathing treatments, airway clearance, blood gases, and other respiratory interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Set up and maintain ventilators, including invasive and non-invasive modes.
- Perform arterial and capillary punctures, run blood gas samples, and operate the Blood Gas analyzer.
- Assist with sleep studies, pulmonary function tests, and other diagnostic procedures as needed.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on respiratory health and disease management.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
- Active license in the state of practice and certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- 1-3 years of experience preferred.
