The ideal candidate will have six months to one year of related experience and/or training, as well as registration with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent certification. New graduates must obtain initial registry within one year of hire.
As an Ultrasound Technologist at Avera Health, your primary responsibilities will include performing transthoracic echoes and vascular ultrasound exams, applying Holter and Event monitors, and performing EKGs on patients of all ages as ordered. You will also be responsible for initiating proper intervention to radiologists or referring providers when tests indicate immediate attention, providing test data in a complete and accurate format for presentation to the reading radiologist, and maintaining established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, and environment and infection control.
