Position Highlights
Position Summary:
Responsible for researching, selecting, and purchasing goods from suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels within Avera Heart Hospital and North Central Heart Clinic. This will be completed by analyzing sales data, market trends, and inventory levels to negotiate the best pricing and delivery terms with vendors. The Buyer will also ensure timely deliveries and quality standards while minimizing overstock and maximizing cost efficiency. The Buyer will also be responsible for entering purchasing and contract information into the hospital computer system. As needed this position will also support the general stores warehouse.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Three years of related experience in purchasing, supply chain, materials management or project management required.
