Position Highlights
Position Summary:
Responsible for performing all assigned ultrasound exams studies in a timely manner. Performs procedures according to screening protocols. As a member of the care team, the Ultrasound Sonographer is responsible for working collaboratively with other members to assure safe and accurate delivery of patient care. Maintains patient safety and confidentiality at all times. Assumes, under the direction of the Laboratory, responsibility for patient specimen testing, quality control, quality improvement, and equipment maintenance.
Work Schedule:
Flexible schedules to cover all shifts and weekends, as hospital needs demand.
Education/Experience:
Successful completion of education from an accredited school of ultrasound.
Licensure/Certification:
Registered Diagnostic Sonographer (ARDMS), or obtain registry within 18 months of hire. Current BLS training within three months of employment. High degree of competency/experience in General/ Vascular Ultrasound preferred.
