A Brief Overview
Accountable for Avera@Home HME system-wide sales to home medical equipment referral sources. Develops and implements a sales plan for the designated market territory. The sales plan will provide strategies and tactics to support desired outcomes in referral acquisition, retention and growth. The primary responsibility is to allocate time to referral/prospect contacts focused on customer needs, organizational solutions across the system with the ultimate result to meet or exceed established sales objectives. Serves as liaison to system for customer needs/wants/desires, market intelligence and issues resolution.
What you will do
- Develops sales plans for target audiences and territories.
- Increase sales revenue for new and established accounts based on established sales goals, HME specific account management, cross-selling, and up-selling of products and services. Manages HME sales to target goal in conjunction with leadership team.
- Obtains input for referral contact and topic of contact from HME Access Services, Branch, leadership team, and Avera/non-Avera referral sources.
- Responsible for timely completion and communication of sales reports. Interfaces with the service delivery team to develop customer service standards. Utilizes customer service and clinical/service line staff to support the sales effort. Direct involvement in problem resolution for referral and end-user.
- Manages Activity Tracker to document sales visits and reporting of referral dissatisfaction area and/or needs to Leadership.
- Knowledge and understanding of payer qualification and/or documentation requirements and ability to communicate requirements to referral source.
- Knowledge and understanding of HME products and services, Clinical expertise, and ability to communicate function and benefit to referral source. Provides input for product and program development.
- Evaluates industry changes and new technology with communication to referrals and leadership.
- Works with HME branch leadership to determine and implement appropriate products, equipment, and services.
- Participates in trade shows and health fairs representing Avera. May need to assist with operation needs for Avera when needed.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Associate's in Business/Marketing; or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Drivers License - Licensing Board and insurable by Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier. Upon Hire
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Bachelor's
- Experience in HME services and products.
