This position may be eligible for a $2,000 sign on bonus.
This position supports on campus donations and the Mobile Unit which travels across SD, MN and IA.
Schedule: Monday - Friday (rotating weekend assignments as needed for Mobile Donor Services, which may require 8-12 hour shifts)

A Brief Overview
Responsible for collecting blood from donors using both traditional as well as apheresis, check quality of blood and assume responsibility for safety and comfort of the donor following established standards and practices. Responsible to process phone calls, donor cancellations, and other inquiries regarding blood donations.
What you will do
- Interviews and tests prospective donors to establish eligibility for donation.
- Performs blood donor collection and donor processing duties according to established protocol in donor room and on Bloodmobile.
- Performs apheresis blood donor collection in accordance with established protocols.
- Processes blood components as directed according to established protocol.
- Labels, transports, or stores blood units as directed in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Performs required documentation and participate in quality control.
- Assists with the analysis, collection, and maintenance of records as needed by Quality Assurance, FDA, CAP, Joint Commission accreditation, OSHA guidelines, or as may be required by law.
- Maintains supplies and inventories as needed and in accordance with Lean principles.
- May need to transport supplies to various locations requiring driving a company vehicle.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Drivers License - Licensing Board Upon Hire
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Technical Certificate Associate's degree or technical certificate
- Less than 1 year Related phlebotomy experience plus hands-on training in apheresis blood collection
