A Brief Overview
Provides members with an individual training program that is tailored to the needs, wants and desires of each client; based on their health history, test results and fitness goals.
What you will do
- Leads one-on-one, partner and small group training sessions to members and guests of all fitness levels.
- Trains within standard guidelines of specialty certifications.
- Establishes and appropriately progress client training programs, taking their medical history and conditions into consideration for a safe and effective approach to exercise.
- Presents both staff and member training sessions on a rotating basis with new material or a review of current literature and trends.
- Promotes and contributes to the growth of the overall training program through consistent, goal-directed contact of members and potential referral sources such as member clinical and physician contacts.
- Participates in department meetings and training sessions and work toward meeting departmental and organizational goals.
- Proficient in all core business software as it relates to scheduling, editing or cancelling appointments.
- Demonstrates complete knowledge of emergency and safety procedures to maintain a safe patient environment.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Concentration in a health-related, exercise science, kinesiology or physical education
- ACE Certified Personal Trainer (ACE-CPT) - American Council on Exercise (ACE) Upon Hire or
- ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-EP) - American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Upon Hire or
- ACSM Certified Personal Trainer (ACSM-CPT) - American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Upon Hire or
- ACSM Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-CEP) - American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Upon Hire or
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach - National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Upon Hire or
- NASM Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT) - National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Upon Hire or
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Master's
- 1-3 years Work experience or internship in the health and fitness industry, preferable in a medically oriented specialty such as: athletic training, cardiac rehabilitation, dietetics or physical therapy.
