Job Summary :

Acts as the primary biller for the medical unit, ancillary services, and emergency department. Audits claims, communicates with care teams to clarify charges, submits to various insurances, appeals denied claims as appropriate, prepares and distributes patient bills. Communicates by phone and email with payors regarding claims. Oversees debt collection efforts. Demonstrates knowledge and possesses the ability to navigate electronic medical records and billing software. Demonstrates adaptability to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status. Demonstrates professionalism, teamwork, and reliability. Serves as the compliance officer. Performs other office duties as assigned.
