A Brief Overview
Accountable for being a part of a dynamic group that works closely with our business partners to develop modern data-driven visual applications, dashboards and reports. Tools like QlikView, Tableau and proprietary Business Intelligence software will be heavily utilized to make data more accessible and easy to use. Applicants should be passionate about data, visualization, and solving complex problems. The BI Analyst should have a working knowledge of various data models and schemas commonly used in analytics.
What you will do
- Performing complex functions necessary for the support the Insurance division’s objectives in the maintenance and performance of claims payment systems functionality and solutions.
- Support and leverage Avera Health Plans system tools to deliver efficiencies to end-users and provide easy access to financial information to end-users.
- Develop standardized dashboards and data visualization views utilizing tools such as QlikView and Tableau to meet the needs of many supported user groups.
- Align and optimize operational, accounting and finance system processes, including but not limited to the Payment Cycles and Premium Billing and in collaboration with other leaders and staff.
- Carry out complex optimization efforts to improve and re-engineer the effectiveness and efficiency of Avera medical financial systems processes, documentation, training and related internal controls.
- Support efforts to improve the day-to-day business and administrative systems of the insurance division related systems, streamline work processes with system solutions, maximize innovations and work collaboratively to provide quality seamless financial systems functionality and capability.
- Perform assigned reviews and complex reconciliations to the data sources and works with data source owners as assigned to correct source data as necessary and facilitates communication of those changes to end users of the financial data.
- Works with Data Architect to address source data discrepancies when identified and coordinates resolution with the appropriate standards team leaders or other source data owners.
- Data-sets will be designed to promote transparency and self-discovery across the organization through tools such as QlikView or Tableau.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Bachelor's
- 4-6 years Relevant experience
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Master's
- Experience with health care delivery system and/or healthcare financial reporting
