Position Highlights
Position Summary
Responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of educational activities of the decentralized education services for the hospital. Actively teaches staff on topics related to mandatory education. Assists in competency testing in area of expertise. Collaborates with staff to provide continuing education programs. Collaborates with Team Leaders and clinical staff in assisting in development of patient teaching programs. Reviews and orders patient education materials.
Work Schedule:
Forty hours per week, Monday through Friday. Hours and days will vary to accommodate the needs of the
department and hospital.
Education/Experience:
Graduate of a school of nursing; advanced degree preferred. Over 5 years experience in acute care nursing. Strong background in the coordination of education programs. Experience with CQI and patient focused care is desirable.
Licensure/Certification:
Current state licensure as a registered nurse or licensure from a state within the Nursing Compact. Current certification in BLS and ACLS.
