A Brief Overview
Provides strength and conditioning programming to Avera Sports contract schools and Avera Human Performance Center athletes including Athletic Republic program services. Programming may include evaluations, training and documentation components, as assigned. Responsible to oversee and coordinate the delivery of Avera Sports strength and conditioning programming as well as assist with daily operations of contract school weight room.
What you will do
- Responsible for the development, administration, implementation, scheduling and supervision of the Avera Sports strength programs in contract schools.
- Develops and administers strength and conditioning program to increase athlete's abilities and strength for respective sport.
- Provides support, encouragement and inspiration to athletes for continual performance enhancement to achieve/exceed goals. Emphasize proper and safe methods to follow.
- Delivers strength and conditioning program as agreed upon with contract school coaching staff. Collaborates with various departments and/or individuals as needed to assure areas of importance are adequately addressed as part fo the program.
- As assigned, coordinates and implements outreach strength and conditional programs to rural Avera Sports contract schools.
- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, workshops, etc. Shares new knowledge with coworkers.
- Participates in program development of the department.
- Educates and advises athletes, coaches and community members on proper training program design.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Bachelor's in athletic related area
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach - National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) within 180 Days
