As we scale, we need a Engineer to architect and scale the fundamental components of our platform, including API integrations, core infrastructure, marketplace technology, and platform reliability.

What You'll Be Doing At Averi:

This is a foundational hire — you’ll have massive ownership over the AI roadmap, making key decisions on models, tools, and infrastructure and play a critical role in hiring and mentoring as we scale the team. You will be leading the development of scalable AI-powered workflows, conversational agents, and adaptive learning systems. Your work will include architecting agentic workflows capable of reasoning and planning, building state-of-the-art chatbot capabilities, and developing robust data pipelines to fuel continuous model improvement.

You Should Only Apply If You Have:

• 5 years of experience as a software engineer in fast-moving/startup environments.
• 2 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with a strong backend focus.
• A Track record of launching AI-driven products from prototype to production.
• Passion for pushing AI boundaries—actively experimenting with cutting-edge research.
• Experience with AI infrastructure & deployment (LLM hosting, vector databases, LangChain, auto-agents).
• An understanding of security, authentication (NextAuth), and performance best practices when working with AI models.

You Should NOT Apply If You:

• Are not an expert in TypeScript and Node.js, with a strong understanding of backend development.
• Don’t have deep knowledge of modern AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, etc.)
• Don’t have experience working with AI, NLP, or LLM-powered applications
• Don’t have experience with LangChain or integrating AI models into production applications.
• You are not comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-ownership startup environment.

We Are Looking For

• Experience with AI personalization & reasoning – has worked on advanced RAG, multi-agent coordination, or synthetic data training.
• Open-source contributor – has built or contributed to AI/ML frameworks. We look at your GitHub!
• A problem-solver who enjoys iterating quickly on AI models and workflows.
• An engineer who is comfortable working with full-stack teams and integrating AI into web applications.
• Someone with an ownership mindset, excited to shape the AI strategy of an early-stage startup.
