We are an early-stage, venture-backed startup building a cutting-edge AI-powered platform that helps companies supercharge their marketing efforts by connecting them with top-tier marketing experts. Our marketplace is at the core of our product, and we need a Marketplace Lead to build, scale, and optimize this ecosystem.
This is a foundational role—you’ll define how our marketplace operates, attract the best marketing experts, and ensure an incredible experience for both sides of the marketplace. Key Responsibilities
- Own & Scale the Expert Marketplace: Build and optimize the marketplace of top-tier marketing experts.
- Recruit & Retain Top Talent: Develop a strategy to attract and onboard the best marketers (growth strategists, paid media specialists, content experts, etc.).
- Define the Marketplace Experience: Ensure seamless matching, onboarding, payment flows, and engagement between experts and customer teams.
- Optimize Supply & Demand: Balance expert supply with customer demand, ensuring marketplace liquidity and efficiency.
- Develop Marketplace Incentives & Pricing: Structure compensation, incentives, and engagement models to maximize participation and retention.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product, AI, engineering, and go-to-market teams to ensure marketplace success.
- Drive Growth & Experimentation: Test new acquisition strategies, engagement models, and monetization approaches to scale the marketplace.
- Set & Track Marketplace KPIs: Own key marketplace metrics, such as fill rates, retention, engagement, and quality scores.
- Be a Voice for Experts & Customers: Advocate for both sides of the marketplace to ensure a world-class experience.
Ideal Background & Experience
- Deep understanding of modern marketing – experience in growth marketing, paid media, performance marketing, or content strategy.
- 5 years in marketplace operations, marketing leadership, or platform-driven roles.
- Experience scaling a two-sided marketplace (supply & demand dynamics, engagement strategies, and incentives).
- Track record of working with expert networks, freelance platforms, or marketing communities.
- Data-driven decision maker – comfortable working with marketplace analytics and operational KPIs.
- Ability to think strategically AND execute tactically – startup mindset required.
- Excellent collaborator – works seamlessly across product, engineering, and GTM teams.
- Bias for action & entrepreneurial spirit – thrives in fast-moving environments.
- Experience in venture-backed startups is a strong plus.
