The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, one of Montana's AAA Four Diamond resorts, is seeking a Valet Attendant to work with our Valet Team.
Act as ahost or hostess to all arriving and departing guests. Acknowledges and greetseach guest with enthusiasm and prescribed terminology immediately upon the guestsarrival and delivers Service with a Smile. The wage depends on experience tips.
MAIN DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES :
Create excitement through guest interaction andconversation.
Delivers five-star service by accuratelyescorting arriving guests to rooms, handle baggage transfers, and accommodateguests special requests.
Perform same functions when guests depart
Act as valet attendant as business needsdictate.
Must be a team player with entire hotel staff.
Must be courteous, friendly and able torepresent the hotel professionally to hotel guests.
Must be knowledgeable on the various types ofrooms and amenities that are available at the hotel, as well as the activitiesand services available.
Must be very familiar with the local attractionsin the surrounding areas in order to comfortably make recommendations and givedirections.
Must be service-oriented and actively lookingfor ways to help people.
Active listener : gives full attention to whatothers are saying and takes time to understand the points being made whileasking appropriate questions and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Ability to write effectively as appropriatefor the needs of teammates and guests.
This is a rewarding and physically demandingjob. Candidates must be able to performthe required duties of a valet attendant (jogging, long periods of being onfeet, extended periods of being outdoors in all types of weather, etc.)
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY
Ability to communicate effectivelyverbally, in writing, and over the phone, with Staff, Senior Management teammembers, and Ownership.
Excellent leadership, interpersonaland problem-solving skills.
Use suggestive selling techniques topromote services of the hotel.
Ability and willingness to adhere toall Averill Hospitality policies and ensure departmental personnel compliance. Ability and willingness to work withvarious office equipment and software systems.
Must maintain a positive influence inthe community and positive relations with area vendors.
Able to operate a manual transmission.
Good driving record (no more than 3moving violations in the last 3 years; no DUI, DWI, reckless driving, orsuspended / revoked license.

QUALIFICATIONSTANDARDS
EDUCATION
High School or High Schoolequivalent is an asset
EXPERIENCE / LICENSESOR CERTIFICATES
- Minimum of 2 years experience in hospitality industry an asset.
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid drivers license.
NOTICE :
Standing, bending, stooping, and lifting weights up to andincluding 50 lbs. may be required. Thehospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four hours aday. In addition, this is a hospitalitybusiness and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
SCHEDULE / HOLIDAYS / PTO :
This positionrequires regular, reliable, and punctual attendance. Valet is expected tousually keep a 5-day-a-week schedule but adjust as needed according to businessneeds; for example, a 6-day week may be required during peak businessperiods. A workweek of up to 50 hoursper week can be expected. However, it can be more or less, depending onbusiness needs. Working evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.Holidays and PTO are in accordance with the AH Exempt Employee policies asoutlined in the Employee Handbook.
