Overview
Averill Insurance is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Insurance Agent to join our growing team in our North Yarmouth office. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting clients with their insurance needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a background in insurance, and the ability to effectively communicate well with clients. As an Insurance Agent, you will play a crucial role in helping clients understand their options and make informed decisions regarding their insurance policies.
Duties
- Analyze clients' insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage options for new business and renewal reviews.
- Market various insurance products and coverages to potential clients.
- Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in insurance regulations to provide accurate advice to clients.
Qualifications
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance license with the State of Maine. (Consideration will be given to the proper candidate should they have significant experience in the field, and are able to obtain their license quickly.)
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, a strong work ethic, and the desire to work well with our team.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess client needs and recommend suitable coverages.
- Preference given to those with at least 3-5 years of production, service, and quoting experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Post-Secondary degree preferred.
- Knowledge of AMS360 or Vertafore platforms a plus.
