Job Description :

Now hiring immediately! Dedicated drivers enjoy the many privileges that come with having consistent customers. This permanent full-time position gives you a better idea of the number of miles and hours each week holds, which means you'll have a better idea of what to expect in every paycheck.

And because you know your customers and their typical freight load, you'll never be surprised or slowed down by unusual shipments.

• Competitive pay :
• Average $1,770 per week / $92,040 per year
• Start at .62 cpm
• Average 1,960 miles per week
• Unloading pay is .185 per case which averages $555 per week
• Earn $15 per retail route for return tote pick up (totes hold the small merchandise)
• Company sponsored per diem program
• Home weekly
• Dispatches Sunday afternoon through Monday noon
• Sunday dispatch gets home on Friday; Monday dispatch gets home Friday evening or Saturday morning
• Take pre-loaded trailers in Lebanon, TN and deliver to Cracker Barrel stores (merchandise, not food) in the following states :
• AL, AR, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MD, MI, MO, MS, NC, NJ, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WI, WV
• Drivers typically run 2 routes per week
• Runs vary throughout the week
• Merchandise for each store is divided by a bulkhead; freight is not all mixed together
• Must set up ramp and two-wheel freight into the customer's storeroom (most stops take 1+ hours to unload)
• All drivers will ride with a Dedicated Averitt driver on this account for the first week to ensure a complete understanding of the customer's processes and procedures.

This will be paid at a flat rate of $1,000 for the 1

week only

During slower months (January - July) if not needed on this account you will be expected to work at another supply chain site, this will allow you to continue getting weekly work

• Must live within a 100-mile radius
• Must have 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years, including at least 6 months' OTR experience
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Drivers must have Class A CDL
• No convictions for reckless driving within the past 5 years
• No convictions for DUI within the past 5 years
• No serious violations within the previous 12 months (15 mph or greater, following too closely, improper passing, traffic offense committed in a CMV in connection with fatality)
• No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years
• No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years

Essential functions :

• Load freight - lift requirement : 80 lbs
• Unload freight - lift requirement : 80 lbs
• Move freight - force requirement : 54 lbs
• Open / Close Trailer Doors - force requirement : 46 lbs
• Count freight
• Complete fuel tickets
• Obtain sales leads
• Hook / Unhook trailer - force requirement : 90 lbs (Class A Only)
• Perform pre-trip inspections
• Drive
• Regular predictable attendance
• Enter / Exit a Commercial Motor Vehicle
• Enter / Exit the rear of a trailer from ground level
