As a Process Engineer with this company you will play a pivotal role in optimizing and enhancing our manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and maintain innovative solutions that drive continuous improvement in our production processes.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, and develop processes to optimize productivity and workflow.
- Determine the organization and setup of operations.
- Create and develop new procedures and processes.
- Examine existing processes by collecting data for analysis to uncover areas for improvements and innovation.
- Analyze, evaluate, and test new and existing processes.
- Oversee implementation of new processes and procedures
- Investigate and troubleshoot any problems that arise with processes, procedures, and operations.
- Contribute to development of health and safety standards.
- Submit change requests to document all processed changes and update standard work sheets.
- Assist in training production associates in standard work procedures.
- Clearly communicate ideas and findings to management and colleagues
- Assist teams in implementation of existing and new procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- BS in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
- Working knowledge of Lean Tools e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Cell Design, Standard Work, Jidoka
- Strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and within a team.
- Proficiency with computer and information technology
- Working knowledge of composites industry and specifically, composite panel knowledge strongly preferred
- Thorough understanding of scientific and mathematical principles
- Experience with Design of Experiments, new process validation new product testing and Automotive techniques including APQP and 8D's.
- CAD – SolidWorks preferred.
- Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing setting and able to demonstrate your experiences.
