ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES :We are looking to hire Precision Metallic Assembler Technicians to help build our rockets. In this role, you will be working on a very delicate process of overlaying brazed foil on a rocket nozzle and then tacking the foil into place. Material is very delicate, and tolerances are extremely tight so this role requires a true craftsman!
Other responsibilities include :
Building a variety of different components and assemblies, requiring the ability to stay focused on the specific task at handWorking directly with engineering to determine best practices and to vet new designs for improvement opportunities prior to productionServe a variety of internal and external customers, across multiple systems and multiple platforms and each Technician is a valued part of the chain that supports safe human spaceflight.A focus on safety, collaborative teamwork and quality allows us to work together to determine the best path forward, balancing speed and safety to create high quality components that will propel future astronauts and payloads into space for the improvement of mankind.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Familiarity with fabricating, inspecting and repairing metallic assemblies.Experience working with mechanical structures.Patience to perform tedious tasks with extreme attention to detail.Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings.Ability to work with delicate materials and adhere to tight tolerances.Basic hand tool experience such as, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and crimpers.Experience working with mechanical structures.Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Able to lift 50 lbs.Ability to work a 40 hr. work week (4x10’s) with occasional overtime to support launch schedules.Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.Desired :
Experience with poke tack welders and conformal coating.Experience and capability to interface with software systems such as Microsoft Office Suite.At least 4 years’ experience in Aerospace Avionics or related fields.WHY AVERRO?
