Engineering Technician
PAY: 38-50/hr
BENEFITS: Medical insurance, 401K, sick leave as applicable by state law, and EAP.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support for engineering initiatives, including assembling, installing, and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Perform comprehensive testing and evaluations of components and systems to confirm functionality and compliance with design specifications.
- Carry out regular maintenance and calibration of equipment to ensure peak efficiency and performance.
- Diagnose and address equipment malfunctions, coordinating repairs with the maintenance team as required.
- Keep thorough and precise records of equipment servicing, repair work, and testing processes.
- Prepare detailed reports that summarize findings, test results, and suggested enhancements.
- Partner with engineers and team members to execute design changes and system improvements in line with project objectives.
- Use critical thinking to resolve technical challenges and maintain high attention to detail.
- Accurately interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience working with electrical systems, preferably in the aerospace or aviation industry.
- Previous experience in an Engineering Technician role or equivalent.
- Practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
- Proficient in understanding and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and the capacity to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
