What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Lead position at Averro?
SHIFT: M-F, day shift
ASSIGNMENT: 6 months contract
PAY: $40-45/hr.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a Payroll Lead for a company in South Seattle.
- Prepares and processes full cycle multi-state weekly and bi-weekly payrolls, including maintaining records, adjustments, retro-active payments, etc.
- Oversee and review Payroll team’s voluntary and involuntary deductions such as benefit deductions, union dues, levies, and garnishments.
- Assist with the management and oversight of workflow to the Payroll Department to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Acts as a subject matter expert for payroll related items such as payroll processing, timekeeping, taxes, garnishments, employee changes in ADP and is a resource to others on payroll team.
- Ensures payroll records are accurate and completes weekly audits of all change activity.
- Ensure team members acquire necessary skills and performance attributes, in line with business and personal development needs.
- Defines standards and reusable approaches within the Payroll operational framework.
- Research and resolve employee difficult and advance payroll issues through a systematic approach.
- Create/update/maintain SOPs for each payroll process.
- Responsible for all audit requests (Deloitte & VWC) and provide documentation within 2 business days of request.
- Assist as needed to process accurate and timely year-end reporting (W-2, W-2c, etc)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates degree
- ADP Vantage experience
- 6 years of experience processing multi-state payroll
- International payroll
- Experience processing payroll for 1000 employees in 5 states
