This is a high-level, leadership-focused role for an experienced professional that ultimately, requires an individual who can act as a complementary counterpart to founder, Avery Cox, creating structure, operational excellence, and driving scale.
Job Requirements
Operational Leadership
- Oversee studio operations, ensuring projects meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Identify inefficiencies and streamline workflows for improved operations.
- Manage the company calendar and optimize resource allocation for business development.
- Oversee office management (redecorating, organizing, maintenance) to foster a productive environment for networking and client hosting.
- Enhance team productivity and performance.
Financial Management
- Oversee invoicing, billing, and budget planning.
- Manage firm’s financials (expense reconciliation, cash flow, data analysis, bill payments).
Strategic Planning and Business Growth
- Lead strategy planning to align operations with business goals.
- Develop and execute hiring strategies to attract and retain top talent, including compensation and benefits.
HR and Team Management
- Mentor and motivate staff to align with company objectives.
- Oversee team training and development.
- Work with the founder to assess team roles and resource allocation.
- Manage HR responsibilities, including salary, benefits, attendance policies, and employee well-being.
- Ensure office space aligns with the studio’s creative vision and fosters a productive work environment.
Marketing and Community Engagement
- Lead marketing efforts (social media, content creation, community outreach).
- Strengthen studio’s presence through partnerships and events in the design community.
- Coordinate with the PR team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
- 7-10 years of operations management experience (preferably in design or creative industries).
- Proven experience in financial management (invoicing, billing, budgeting).
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management software.
Salary : $75,000 - $110,000
