Position Summary
The Personal Lines (PL) Sales Coordinator is responsible for writing new business for the agency and expanding existing client accounts. A customer-service-oriented personality, positive attitude, and cooperative demeanor are essential for success in this role. This position involves data gathering, policy quoting, and issuance over the phone, as well as assisting producers and walk-in clients. The Sales Coordinator must be knowledgeable, highly responsive, ensuring timely quote requests and policy placements to maintain the agency’s high customer service standards. Attention to detail, organization, and time management are critical skills for this role.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Follow new business workflows for new and existing clients.

Review new business policies for accuracy before mailing to clients.

Expand accounts by selling additional lines of coverage, increasing liability limits, and recommending updated replacement cost values on properties.

Refer clients to other departments for life, health, and commercial coverage.

Collect complete underwriting information from assigned clients and prospects.

Work with Commercial Lines Producers and external producers to support new and existing clients, ensuring adherence to agency workflows.

Collect and record new business deposit premiums.

Utilize computerized rating software, including integrated rating systems and company websites.

Retrieve motor vehicle reports, credit scores, CLUE reports, photos, and inspection reports to assist in front-line underwriting.

Learn and apply company guidelines to accurately quote new and renewal business.

Input client and underwriting information into the agency management system.

Assist with claims in the event of emergencies or national disasters.
Objectives / Performance Standards
- Deliver prompt and professional customer service to prospects, clients, and underwriters.
- Provide consistent support and constructive feedback to supervisors to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collect and document complete underwriting information using standard quote sheets.
- Efficiently process new policies, endorsements, cancellations, return premium checks, and other tasks according to agency procedures and workflows.
- Present quotes within two days of receiving a request.
- Support Account Managers when needed due to vacations, absences, or workload backlogs.
- Adhere to agency policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Be a knowledgeable and trusted insurance advisor for clients.
