Position Overview
The Managing Director will have direct responsibilities to manage the operations of the office, build and lead a well-organized, highly skilled team, grow and retain business, and effectively implement or refine business processes that result in the highest level of quality, performance, and profitability. All operational decisions will be conducted within the business plan, budget, policies and procedures of the company.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Work with Leadership Team to establish a Business Plan at the beginning of the fiscal year
- Manage the operations budget to include revenue, expenses, and fixed asset acquisitions along with justification to be submitted against the business plan.
- Report on industry changes, local market conditions, and sound strategies for accomplishing growth objectives
Operational Management
Oversee daily operations of the company, ensuring efficient processes and high standards of service delivery across all business functionsManage and mentor team leaders, foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvementEnsure effective project management practices are in place for the successful execution of client projects and eventsEnsure national operational efficiency through resource sharing for labor and equipment in partnership with other MD’sFinancial Oversight
Monitor and evaluate operation effectiveness effecting changes required for improvementEnsure purchasing decisions and expense spending are within AVFX policies, procedures, and good business judgment.Manage CapEx budget for local office by working with local team to establish equipment needs for that officeWork with Senior Leadership Team on allocation of budget, and alignment of larger company wide CapEx purchases.Maximize the return on the sales executed through the officeClient and Stakeholder Relations
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partnersRepresent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to promote the company’s brand and capabilitiesAddress client concerns and feedback to ensure high levels of satisfaction and repeat businessMarketing and Business Development
Collaborate with VP of Sales on execution of sales & marketing strategies to promote the company’s services and enhance brand awareness, locallyTeam Leadership and Development

At least 10 years of experience in the audio-visual industry, with a proven track record in senior management roles.Extensive experience in strategic planning, financial management, and operational oversightDemonstrated success in client relationship management, and team leadershipSkills
