Job Title : Labor Saver OperatorClassification : Non - ExemptDepartment : Production Reports to : Receiving SupervisorJob Summary : Operate the labor saver to get raw materials to the silos.
- Ability to recognize what type of raw materials are in the bags
- Ability to operate the labor saver correctly
- Perform proper housekeeping inside and out of the labor saver
- Ability to load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting device
- Perform safety checks on lifts
- Switch trailers in and out of the docks
- Enter correct information in SAP
- Drive forklift truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, fork-grapple, clamps, elevating platform, trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move material in warehouse, storage yard, or factory
- Ability to organize and assign storage space utilized in warehousing and moving materials in the departments
- Assist with the receiving dock as needed
- Other duties as assignedRequirements : High School Diploma, (or a GED) or equivalent experience is required. Additionally, he / she must possess good problem-solving skills, basic math skills, along with good interpersonal skills. Working harmoniously with co-workers while exhibiting a "can-do" attitude is critical to success. Employee must be able to lift 50 lbs on a somewhat frequent basis. Environment : Work area is a manufacturing environment which is not climate-controlled year round with noise levels ranging from moderate to loud requiring hearing protection.
