What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Vehicle Technician position at AVI Foodsystems?
As a key member of the AVI Foodsystems Fleet Department, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability and safety of our fleet of vehicles. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct regular maintenance on trucks and trailers, ensuring they are operating at peak performance and efficiency. This includes performing inspections, tire rotations, oil changes, and minor repairs, as well as more complex diagnostic tests and major repairs. You will also maintain complete and accurate records of each inspection/repair performed.
For this position, we require candidates with experience in automotive mechanics, particularly diesel, along with a Class A CDL License or the ability to obtain one. Refrigeration experience is highly valued, but not necessary. Successful applicants should possess a solid understanding of all aspects of large truck maintenance and repair, combined with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
