We are seeking a skilled and experienced Professional Land Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate should have 5 years of experience in all types of surveying activities, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction staking, preparing easements, plats, and ALTAs, and writing legal descriptions. The candidate should be proficient in using surveying equipment and software, have excellent attention to detail, and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field is a plus but not necessary.
- Be a Wyoming and or a Colorado Professional Land Surveyor or have the ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 5 years of experience in land surveying
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, levels, etc.
- Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, principles, and regulations.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, and/or other CAD softwares.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct boundary surveys to establish property lines and prepare survey documents.
- Perform topographic surveys to gather data for site planning and development.
- Conduct construction staking to ensure accurate placement of structures and infrastructure.
- Use GPS equipment and software for precise surveying measurements.
- Prepare survey drawings and maps using AutoCAD or similar software.
- Collaborate with engineers and construction teams to support project goals.
- Prepare, review, and stamp metes & bounds legal descriptions, subdivision plats, easements, ALTA drawings, records of survey, and other various survey documents.
- Lead a survey crew of 2-3 people in various tasks and teach younger team members.
- Manage project budgets and schedules.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position may be located in either Cheyenne, WY or Fort Collins, CO.
- Candidates will spend approximately half their time in a professional office environment and half their time outdoors in all kinds of weather.
- Must work well under time constraints and in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Typical work schedule is 40 hours/week. The candidate must be willing to work overtime when workload requires. Employees are paid for every hour worked.
