Accounting Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial accounting, with a solid understanding of principles. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing valuable insights through forecasting.

Duties

• Prepare and maintain financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Process debits and credits accurately to maintain balanced accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to guide financial planning.
• Collaborate with other departments to support corporate accounting functions and reporting needs.
• Conduct periodic reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Requirements

• 1-2 years in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of public accounting practices, GAAP, and financial accounting principles.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying discrepancies.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
