What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor PDC position at Aviagen Inc?
Job Description:
We are currently seeking an individual to fill the position of PDC Operations Manager based out of our Aviagen location in Albertville, Alabama. This position will require a strong focus on farm/production management and administration.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensuring continuous improvement in all work areas through performance improvement sessions, on job training, and weekly operations meetings.
- Ensuring the Broiler and Breeder Operations remain disease free, performs optimally and operates cost effectively by regular reviewing of farms and performance data that drive the operation(e.g. Mortality rate, body weight, uniformity, egg weight, feed consumption, etc. .)
- Achieving budget by controlling operating costs, reducing waste and managing overhead in the operation.
- Contributing to the annual budgeting process by providing timely and accurate budget proposals and forecasts.
- Scheduling timely audits on the farm, plant, and hatchery with respect to Assets, Minimum Standards and Maintenance and Safety.
- Carry out other special projects assigned by the PDC Director
