Job Description Summary:
We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as the Safety & Environmental Manager. The position will be located at our Sallisaw OK Production Complex and report to the Operations Manager for the West Region. Lead and maintain EHS programs, procedures, practices, licenses, permits and site-specific EHS documentation, records and plans to assure compliance with Regulations and Aviagen requirements (OSHA, NFPA, Internal policies and standards, etc.)Job Description:
Job Description and Essential Responsibilities:
Engage and influence leadership, have a commitment to EHS, and willing to coach individuals to successfully execute specified EHS priorities through the following methods:
•Works with all assigned sites on promoting a safety-first culture that centers around proactive identification and continual improvement
•Build positive relationships across organizations, influence without authority
•Single POC for EHS-related concerns in all assigned region
•Visits all assigned sites at a frequency agreed upon with site leadership and EHS Director
•Supports site leadership in incident, event and near miss investigation
•Tracks corrective action completion and verifies protective measures are implemented and maintained
•Works with Operations to identify and mitigate all hazards within assigned facilities
•Responsible for maintaining and updating all OSHA logs for assigned sites
•Ensures all worker's compensation claims are filed within 24 hours of being reported and escalates to the corporate team for visibility
•Ensures all chemicals are labeled and logged, and SDS are available
•Ensures emergency response protocols, including drills, training and communication are executed per policy
•Ensures all corporate EHS policies are communicated, implemented and maintained successfully
•Serves as the POC for any regulatory communication, and escalates all regulatory communications and visits to the corporate team
•Ensures all assigned EHS and compliance-related training is completed and logged successfully and on time
•Preps all assigned sites for EHS audits by the corporate team and serves as the POC during these audits
•Uploads all required information monthly to the corporate safety scorecard
•Oversees, leads, and reports out on all safety committee meetings for assigned facilities
•Supports compliance and training officers in successful execution of duties for all assigned sites
•Completes OSHA-10 training at assigned sites
•Attends all required site-level and corporate EHS meetings
•Identifies and escalates risk appropriately to the site and EHS leadership
•All other responsibilities as assigned by management
•Travel - Location Dependent, 25%
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Environment, Health and/or Safety, Engineering or Equivalent
Minimum of at least 2 years of experience driving EHS and Leading a Team
