Aviagen is a leading poultry breeding company with opportunities all across globe. We are currently looking for individuals for Hatch Crew position. This position will be responsible to transfer the eggs from the setter to the hatcher and will take care of cleaning and sanitizing machines, floors, walls and ceilings.
Job Description
This position is a Monday through Friday day shift position.
Responsible for cleanliness in the Hatchery
Responsible for pulling birds and getting them ready for sexors
Sanitizing machines, floors and ceilings
Transferring the eggs from setter to hatcher
Box making, stacking, packing and other general duties
Maintain proper handling, cleaning and safety of the birds
Meet all of the operating procedures as outlined by company policy
Ensure compliance with established SOPs by monitoring production processes, hatch performance, day-old and egg quality,
equipment operation and schedule attainment requirements. Communicate any observed irregularities
Job Qualifications
Ability to handle moderate to physical work
Must be able to complete repetitive work and stand for extended periods of time
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure
Must be able to perform tasks with limited supervision
Proven reliability in work attendance and willingness to give best effort
Physical Requirements
Work with chemicals, such as detergents, disinfectants
Standing for extended periods of time (6 hours)
Grip, grasp or twist using hands and wrists
Lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50lbs
Bend and stoop repetitively throughout out shift
Work Environment
Routine handling and interacting with live poultry
Ongoing presence of hatchery related smells or odors
Climate exposure both hot and cold
Working in a loud/noisy environment
