Aviagen is seeking an outstanding individual who will be responsible for providing Incubation and Hatchery technical guidance to Aviagen customers in North America, Canada and Central America. This position will be part of the Global Technical Operations (GTO) team which offers specialized technical guidance to Aviagen clients and internal operations.

- Provide technical guidance to Aviagen clients (external and internal) in the Americas to achieve best management practice in hatchery management and incubation.
- Develop and maintain routine professional relationships with Aviagen poultry management technical managers and key clients in the region
- Work collaboratively with other Global Incubation Services team members to deliver training for clients and colleagues in incubation and hatchery management to enhance the implementation of best practice advice
- Participate in writing technical communications for internal and external publication
- Participate in conducting innovative incubation-related research and work directly with internal research teams to coordinate and collaborate research objectives
- Develop and maintain a network with incubation and hatchery automation manufacturers
- Participate in regional hatchery and incubation seminars and workshops
- The ideal candidate must be authorized to work in the US
- Sufficient education and practical experience to be able to confidently and accurately understand cause/effect relationships in poultry incubation. At minimum, a Bachelor of Science in the areas of animal agriculture or engineering is preferred.
- Experience in the commercial poultry industry is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of the diverse incubation systems used in the industry
- Excellent organizational, time-management, problem-solving and communication (oral and written) skills
- Detail oriented and systematic in designing and executing short and long term objectives
- Creative and self-motivated individual who is capable of demonstrating proactive initiative and works well in a fast-paced environment among multidisciplinary and diverse teams
- Proficiency in English
- Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to travel approx. 50% in the Americas
