Job Title:Accountant/Administrative Professional
Reports to:President
Job Summary:
Responsible for Accounting, GL, AR, AP and Payroll. Will be the company’s HR liaison to PEO Service agency. Assist President in various administrative functions as needed. This position interfaces inclusively with the company’s offsite CPA. This is a salaried, 40 hours per week position, M-F 8-4:30 with a 15 employee, Aviation Company in business since 1987, located in Reno at the Reno-Stead Airport. Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance paid at 50% for employee, 401k Plan company matched up to 4% of employee contribution, seven paid holidays, vacation hours accrued based on time in service after the 1st year and profit sharing. Salary DOE.
Job Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable posting of invoices and reconciliation.
Processing credit card/check/ and cash payments.
Sending out monthly statements.
Daily processing of fuel sales.
Accounts Payable posting of due bills, recurring notes/leases.
Payments to vendors.
Weekly payroll.
Monthly processing of Sales/Use tax.
Month end closings and GL Balancing.
Quarterly allocation balancing.
Annual business license and various other license reporting.
Weekly balancing of fuel inventory.
Daily balancing of Undeposited receipts to the GL.
Deposits to bank as needed.
Petty Cash control and balancing.
Bank statement reconciliation.
Monitor physical inventory for accuracy.
Daily mail distribution.
Answer phones as needed.
Worker’s Comp administrative duties with knowledge of procedures, filing claims and follow-up.
Maintain up to date asset acquisition/disposition records and property tag assignment and identification. Provide backup assistance to parts/ purchasing as needed.
Supervise front office personnel staff of 2.
Related tasks as required.
Qualifications:
Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP.
Extended knowledge of office programs such as Word, Excel, e-mail and internet.
Maintain strict confidentiality of records in accordance with HIPPA and corporate policy retaining all files in a locked file cabinet or secure location.
Acute attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, and as a member of a team.
Good judgment and the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals.

Educational/Certificate/Licensing Requirements:
5 years experience in accounting, A/R & A/P, general ledger, and accounting applications, including payroll and general knowledge of HR practices and regulations.
Knowledge of inventory control and reconciliation.
4 years general office operations experience and supervisory experience.
Specialized Computer Software and Other Requirements:
Proficiency in MS Office products and experience with other database applications.
Server, network and peripherals knowledge.
