Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Manager

Job Overview: The Aircraft Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of aircraft maintenance operations within an aviation organization. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, optimizing fleet performance, and managing a team of maintenance professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership:

   • Lead and manage a team of aircraft maintenance technicians and support staff.
   • Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure a high level of competence and efficiency within the maintenance team.
   • Foster a culture of safety, adherence to regulations, and continuous improvement.

2. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

3. Fleet Management:

   • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to optimize aircraft availability and minimize downtime.

   • Monitor the airworthiness status of the fleet and take appropriate actions to address any discrepancies.

4. Budget and Resource Management:

   • Develop and manage the aircraft maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
   • Monitor and control maintenance-related expenses while maintaining high-quality standards.

5. Quality Control and Assurance:

   • Implement and maintain a comprehensive quality control program for all maintenance activities.
   • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure that all work meets or exceeds industry standards.

6. Documentation and Record Keeping:

   • Oversee the accurate and timely completion of maintenance documentation, including logbooks and work orders.
   • Maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance activities for regulatory compliance and historical reference.

7. Supplier and Vendor Management:

   • Collaborate with external suppliers and vendors to procure necessary parts, materials, and services.
   • Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the organization.

8. Emergency Response and Crisis Management:

   • Develop and implement procedures for responding to aircraft emergencies and incidents.
   • Coordinate with relevant authorities and internal teams to manage crisis situations effectively.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, or related field.
• Relevant certifications and licenses as required by aviation regulatory bodies.
• Extensive experience in aircraft maintenance, with a proven track record in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
