We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Director to join our team at Aviation Exteriors Louisiana, LLC (Avex). The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing and overseeing the Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), and Training Departments, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of our Quality Management System (QMS)
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance quality and safety culture within the organization
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and customers to resolve quality-related issues
- Investigate incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Manage quality control inspections and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of quality and safety
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure understanding of quality and safety expectations
- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Aeronautics, Aviation Maintenance, Management, or Engineering)
- Proven experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and industry standards
