Position Purpose
The Director of Admissions is responsible for strategically leading the campus Admissions department to meet enrollment goals while ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and best practices in admissions. This role involves developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies, managing the admissions team, and fostering relationships with prospective students and stakeholders. The Director will analyze admissions data to drive decision-making and enhance operational efficiency. Based on demonstrated skills and performance, the position may be designated as Senior or Master Campus Director of Admissions.

- Create and implement an admissions strategy aligned with institutional goals, using market research to identify target audiences.
- Analyze admissions data to inform strategies, optimize recruitment efforts, and improve conversion rates.
- Collaborate with other departments to advance the institution’s diversity and inclusion initiatives.
This position ensures that the admissions process aligns with organizational goals and effectively attracts qualified students, contributing to the overall success of the institution.
Job Responsibilities
- Attract qualified students who will benefit from the school’s programs, managing the entire inquiry cycle from initial contact to enrollment. This includes answering calls, scheduling appointments, interviewing students, processing applications, and ensuring attendance at orientation while avoiding involvement in admissions testing or decisions.
- Conduct daily audits of inquiries and oversee the Admissions team by hiring, training, evaluating, and supervising Assistant Directors and Representatives. Organize meetings and training sessions to enhance team performance and analyze admissions metrics to improve conversion rates.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates in CampusNexus, including auditing the Admissions Blue Folder for required documents, and training staff to use the system effectively.
- Confirm that all applicants meet admissions requirements, including background checks, testing, references, and interviews. Complete the Admissions section of the Weekly Executive Director’s Reports.
- Manage inventory and ordering of promotional materials, encourage admissions staff participation at career fairs, and provide support to the Campus Executive Director while collaborating with Financial Aid, Career Services, Program Coordinators, Registrar, and school management.
- Supervise and support the Admissions Representatives, Assistant Director of Admissions, and Receptionist, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure effective operations and a high standard of service in the Admissions department.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred)
- 5 years of management experience or proven leadership in a relevant role, demonstrating a track record of effectively guiding teams, driving performance, and achieving organizational goals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a patient approach to resolving admissions challenges
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Proven integrity and professionalism in all interactions
- Excellent persuasive communication abilities with a strong focus on customer/student satisfaction
- Highly motivated with a passion for achieving goals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a successful Admissions Representative on campus
- Proven ability to manage an Admissions team in a fast-paced, performance-driven, and compliance-oriented environment
- Experience with CampusNexus software
