Aviation & Missile Solutions (AMS) is currently seeking an AMD Component Integration Team Product Owner to join our Huntsville, AL. team.
The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Component Integration Team Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO). The PO will be responsible for the Prioritization and validation of the development software for the Component Integration team. The position will include reviewing and understanding Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms and providing guidance to the development team. The product owner will work with Program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects of the team for each product increment and sprint. The position will include technical briefings and advisement to leadership on the status and recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts on the IFMC mission.

The Candidate Must
An additional plus is knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS and familiarity with weapon system interfaces in one or more of the DoD services. Prior Product Owner experience on a SCRUM team is a plus.
Security Requirements
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance or higher.

Required Experience
Basic Qualifications:
The Candidate Must
- Have experience leading a SW development team.
- Have basic knowledge of messaging requirements between tactical weapon systems and Command and Control (C2) elements.
- Have the ability to provide oversight to the Component Integration SW development team and verify the team's work based on agreed-upon acceptance criteria, including SW code reviews
- Must be able to work directly with the Agile software developers.
- Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset
- Be a US citizen
- Have a bachelors degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences, or mathematics
- Have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above
