What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aircraft Mechanic position at Aviation Repair Technologies?

GSO Aviation, a subsidiary of Aviation Repair Technologies, is a leading FAA and EASA-certified repair station specialized in component MRO for the most popular commercial and regional aircraft operating today. GSO supports aircraft operators around the world from our MRO complex in Doral, Florida.

GSO is currently looking for a full-time Aircraft Mechanic. This position is located in Doral, Florida.


WHAT YOU’LL DO:

 

  • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, paint and modify hydraulic, electro-mechanical, and fuel components using state-of-the-art repair techniques and test equipment in accordance with Original Equipment Manufactures specifications.
  • Reads and follows plans and manuals, customer order instructions, material lists and guidelines and applies necessary timelines.
  • Fulfills all regular and advanced installation/repair/maintenance duties, including project layout, and completes required paperwork and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Functionally test all assemblies to ensure serviceability of completed units.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures and safety requirements.
  • Develops tools and equipment in accordance with Original Equipment Manufactures specifications as required.
  • Prepare documentation.
  • Assist in the training and development of other junior level personnel.
  • A technician may be assigned to one or more departments, depending on operational needs of the company at the time of assignment.
  • All other duties as assigned or required.


BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • High School graduate or GED;
  • Possess basic understanding of shop math;
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and comply with GSO’s DOT drug screening program on an ongoing basis;
  • Possess the minimum tools to perform aircraft maintenance;
  • Be able to work regular hours; Typical shift is 8AM-5PM Monday-Friday;
  • Strong ethics with a dedication to safety; and
  • Be 18 years or older and have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
