What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part 145 Quality Manager position at Aviation Support Florida?
A rapidly growing aircraft maintenance company "Aviation Support Florida" is looking for a Part 145 Quality Manager to oversee and maintain the quality assurance systems in compliance with FAA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with FAA Part 145 regulations and other applicable aviation standards
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS)
- Conduct internal audits, inspections, and investigations to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement
- Maintain and update the Repair Station Manual (RSM) and Quality Control Manual (QCM)
- Liaise with the FAA and other regulatory bodies to ensure timely communication and compliance
- Oversee training programs to ensure personnel meet qualification requirements
- Monitor corrective actions and ensure timely resolution of audit findings
- Manage document control processes and maintain accurate records
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the organization
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Quality Manager or in a similar role within a Part 145 Repair Station
- In-depth knowledge of FAA Part 145 regulations and aviation industry standards
- Strong auditing skills and experience with QMS development and maintenance
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership abilities
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001 standards is a plus
- Proficiency in using quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite
