We’re looking for an experienced Aircraft Composites Mechanic to repair, modify, and rebuild composite parts for aircraft. In this role, you’ll work with cutting-edge engineering drawings, perform critical repairs, and utilize a range of specialized materials. If you have a strong understanding of composite materials and processes, we want to hear from you!   SUMMARY: We are seeking an Aircraft Composites Mechanic to repair, modify, and rebuild composite parts. This role involves using engineering drawings, performing various composite repairs, and handling essential repair materials. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of composite materials and processes   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Repair, replace, and rebuild composite parts Utilize OEM and Engineering drawings to modify composite parts Accomplish wet lay-up repairs Accomplish elevated temperature repairs Understand quote process Knows all standard chemicals, epoxies, sealants, resins, pre-pregs, composite repair materials and their associated MSDS KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to communicate effectively with other maintenance and support personnel at all levels regarding job-related issues. Ability to read and comprehend written documents. Ability to reason, organize, and solve practical problems with minimal supervision. Ability to guide and mentor personnel. Demonstrates team player mindset and behavior. Ability to positively resolve conflicts. Ability to calculate basic to intermediate mathematical functions. General overall knowledge of major components. Knowledge of the procedures, practice, inspection methods, materials, tools, machine tools, and equipment generally used in the area of responsibility. Troubleshooting problems requires detailed knowledge of specialty areas, paperwork, and publications, as well as an understanding of technical information. General PC skills and basic knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word). General working knowledge of Gateway programs and may include Oracle and other production tools.   EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  Minimum two years of related commercial/military aircraft maintenance experience. Airframe or Airframe and Powerplant License preferred.   PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit, use their hands and arms, talk or hear, and focus on objects close to them. The employee will also be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee will be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.   Compensation The base salary for this position is $21.50 – $33.00 (expressed as hourly for non-exempt), exclusive of benefits or potential bonuses. This position is eligible for an annual corporate bonus. If you are hired at ATS, your final base hourly rate will be based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we consider the internal equity of our current team members to be a part of any final offer. Please remember that the range noted above is the full base hourly range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
