SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Logistics Lead leads and assists multiple teams and shifts in the support of internal and external customer requirements. The area of responsibility may include one or a combination of the following areas: Stores, Shipping/Receiving, Tooling, and Operation Support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
General:
Directs, leads and reassigns support team in response to workload requirements.
Ensures assigned team members are consistently practicing appropriate safety procedures.
Coordinates and participates in the daily assignment of tasks in the work area.
Supports, communicates and implements company initiatives (e.g. Lean Operations).
Provides guidance to staff when resolving technical, procedural, and customer service issues.
Provides premier customer service support to assigned internal and external customers.
Develops and implements corrective action for findings issued during internal and external audits.
Collaborates and works cross functionally to resolve discrepancies.
Ensures qualified staff is performing assigned jobs in compliance with RSM.
Ensures compliance with all regulatory and customer requirements.
Provides feedback to management on issues and concerns with employee performance.
Ensures all required partner training is complete and validated.
Provides backup in absence of a supervisor.
Warehouse Hangar Part Department (HPD) Lead:
Oversees functions of warehouse to ensure accuracy and completeness of responsibilities.
Optimizes physical layout of areas of responsibility, to ensure effective, efficient, and safe use of space.
Reviews Gateway and monitors critical items impacting schedule and facilitates resolution.
Ensures all parts and material are Picked and Pulled to meet production schedule.
Ensure Cycle counts and Physical counts are administered and executed properly
Ensures daily ERP transactions are completed and resolved prior to escalation.
Ensures Off-Units and R/O’s are processed in a timely manner.
Ensures all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed according to RSM.
Ensures qualification requirements are met for authorization to conduct inspections in compliance with the location’s RSM and Stamp Roster is maintained.
Ensures Hazmat, explosive and other flammable products are stored safely.
Ensures overall cleanliness and presentation of assigned area is audit ready at all times.
Attends required customer meetings and answers questions related to area of responsibility.
Trains new employees on equipment, shipping, receiving, loading, unloading, and other warehouse responsibilities.
Tooling & Calibration Lead:
Oversees functions of warehouse and stores to ensure accuracy and completeness of responsibilities.
Reviews Gateway and monitors critical tools impacting schedule and facilitate resolution.
Ensures RSM procedures are being followed by assigned group.
Ensures all tools and test equipment are Picked and Pulled to meet production schedules.
Ensures daily ERP transactions are completed and resolved prior to escalation.
Ensures overall cleanliness and presentation of assigned area is audit ready at all times.
Attends required customer meetings and answers questions related to area of responsibility.
Trains new employees on tools, calibration and tool upkeeping processes, and warehouse responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of three (3) years of inventory handling and control or warehouse operation experience required, including operation of trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
Forklift certification required (must obtain certification within 60 days of hire).
49CFR and IATA dangerous goods training (compliance to ATS requirements within 30 days of hire).
Valid state driver’s license required.
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee will also be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Compensation
The base salary for this position is $23.98 – $35.97 (expressed as hourly for non-exempt), exclusive of benefits or potential bonuses. This position is eligible for a quarterly corporate bonus. If you are hired at ATS, your final base hourly rate will be based on factors such as skills, education and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range noted above is the full base hourly range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous benefits package, as detailed below.
