SUMMARY: The VIP Completion Supervisor oversees the daily operations in assigned functional area. Ensures that maintenance tasks and functions are carried out in compliance with the applicable requirements of the air carrier maintenance program and their inspection procedures manual. Provides training and development for mechanics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Schedules complex installation sequences, identifies critical paths and develops recovery plans when required.
Coordinates complex prototype system installations.
Maintains the Operations Daily Status chart to include but not limited to work progress, accrued hours, estimate to complete (ETC), constraints, recovery plans, action items, conformity status, and others as assigned.
Interprets complex engineering drawings and develops an installation plan.
Liaison with design engineers for resolution of installation issues.
Ensures that all work performed by self or those under their supervision, including subcontractors, is performed in an airworthy manner and in compliance with approved technical data and has had all maintenance steps accomplished.
Supervises tasks within the limitations of their FAA certificate. In this position, a supervisor, may not supervise the maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alteration, or approve and return to service, any aircraft, or part thereof, for which that Supervisor is not rated.
Works and supports non-standard shifts to support the program.
Interacts and communicates with multi-national customers.
Utilizes customer package to ensure proper maintenance planning and execution, ensuring application of FAA and customer requirements.
Supervises the maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alteration of, or approve and return to service any aircraft or part thereof.
Coordinates communication to Leads and crew as needed which may include aircraft safety, planning, and quality.
Validates material on order and coordinates with internal support organizations to ensure necessary product and services can be delivered when required.
Coordinates Engineering priorities. Works with Engineering Dept to ensure responses support aircraft delivery milestones.
Responsible for keeping all assigned areas clean and audit ready. Identifies and eliminates hazards that pose a risk to employee safety and quality of work. Ensures compliance with safety requirements.
Responsible for on-time delivery and adjustments to aircraft delivery schedules.
Reviews routine and non-routine labor hours prior to exceeding allotted estimated hours.
Understands and follows budget review plans for assigned aircraft and ensures targets are met. Communicates variances with Manager.
Ensures mechanics are properly trained, and assists mechanics in proper procedures, methods, and practices to be followed in each respective duty. Continuously evaluates the OJT program.
Recommends changes to processes to improve efficiencies and workflow.
Complies with, communicates, and provides guidance to team members on ATS policies, procedures and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements. Promotes "Balanced Technician" concept.
Identifies and mentors future supervisors.
May deliver or give input with performance reviews and helps to identify career goals and development needs.
Provides regular feedback and performance coaching including appropriate management of time, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring proper knowledge and training to accomplish assignments to all members of assigned crew.
Monitors and updates timekeeping and payroll entry on a timely basis.
Responsible for adhering to all ATS required training.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Effective and appropriate conduct with co-workers.
OTHER DUTIES:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include, but not limited to, interviewing and training; development of technical and leadership skills; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
SAFETY RESPONSIBILITY:
Duties shall include observing all company, health, safety and environmental rules, ensure provision of full information on area specific safety orientation, identify all unique hazards, and are provided with the proper equipment to carry out the job in a safe manner. Also, the entire work area must be routinely inspected to maintain a high standard of housekeeping and low incidence of physical hazards and all accidents must be promptly reported.

Proven knowledge in the procedures, practice, inspection methods, materials, tools, machine tools, and equipment generally used in the work which the station is rated.
Detailed knowledge of paperwork and publications and an understanding of technical information in order to facilitate troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of FAA regulatory requirements to include FAR Part 121 and 91 carriers.
General PC skills and knowledge in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
General working knowledge of Oracle, AutoTime, Gateway programs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of five (5) years’ recent commercial aircraft maintenance and/or MRO experience preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years’ aircraft maintenance leadership experience preferred.
Applicable FAA Repairman or Airframe, or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit, stand and walk; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
ENVIRONMENT: Based on location, may be required to pass background check for SIDA (Security Identification Display Area) or AOA (Airport Operations Area) badge.
The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate to high. May occasionally work near moving mechanical parts in high, precarious places and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May work outside in various types of weather.
Compensation
The full base pay range for this position is $97,000 – $144,000 (expressed as annualized for exempt), exclusive of benefits or potential bonuses. The lower end of the range represents the target base pay for those beginning or developing in the role. The higher end of the range is intended for those who have mastered the role, with proven significant expertise, high achievement, and specialized skills. If you are hired at ATS, your salary will be based on factors including skills, education and experience. In addition to those factors – we consider internal equity of our current employees when determining offers. This position is eligible for an annual bonus. We also offer a generous benefits package, as detailed below.
