Description
AC-130J Contract Instructor (CI) WSO/CSO will provide formal aircrew academic and simulator training to initial/mission qualification, AC upgrade, requalification, instructor upgrade, and key staff students to conduct close air support, air interdiction, and armed reconnaissance.
- Provide instruction in AC-130J emergency procedure training, systems operation, instrument flight, and tactical operations.
- Provide academic and simulator refresher training to qualified AC-130J aircrew members.
- Assist in the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) process in designing, developing of and ensuring all AC130J courseware is correctly applied.
- Perform other duties as directed by the management team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college.
- Current as a WSO/CSO in the AC-130J within the previous two years; or within the previous 8 years if the candidate has performed 8 years of military operational flying duty at the time of hire with at least two years and 200 hours experience as a flight instructor in the AC-130 H/U/W/J.
- Waivers are possible for candidates not meeting the above requirements, but have prior AC-130 experience and/.or have experience as an AC-130J Contract Instructor.
- Selected candidate must be able to obtain a minimum of an active SECRET clearance, will be subject to a government security investigation, and must meet eligibility requirements, including US Citizenship, for access to classified information and Communications Security (COMSEC) material.
- Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
