JOB OVERVIEW

This position requires working within the aircraft area to transport crew and clean aircraft cabins, bending and lifting bags of blankets weighing between 45-50 lbs. Particular duties include vacuuming the floor, picking up trash, washing lavatories and buffets, replacing pillow covers, folding blankets, and refilling seat pockets with magazines, and safety information. The job must often be completed within 10 or 15 minutes before the plane loads passengers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Lift and carry cleaning equipment, cleaning trays, and cases of supplies to service the aircraft.
  • In a timely manner, clean passenger seating, vacuum floors and wipe down tray tables so the aircraft is free of debris.
  • Perform aircraft security inspection to comply with government and Company security requirements.
  • Perform a visual inspection of the aircraft to ensure no items are left on board the aircraft. Return items left by passengers or crew members to the appropriate authority.
  • Mop galleys of aircraft and dispose of trash in designated dumpsters.
  • Restock magazines, Safety information cards, and other supplies on the aircraft.
  • Clean aircraft lavatories and empty waste receptacles.
  • Load supplies onto the cabin service truck and return unused supplies to the designated area.
  • Ensure the cabin service supply room is kept in an organized and neat manner.
  • Check inventory to ensure there is an adequate supply of items needed to service aircraft.
  • Operate and drive the high-lift vehicle in a safe manner
  • Drive crew to destinated areas safely and in a timely manner
  • Must comply with airport driving instructions and training
  • Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, LICENSE, and/or CERTIFICATION

  • Must possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid CDL License

SKILL and/or ABILITIES

  • Ability to speak Spanish
  • Must pass all MDAD Badging processes and Company pre-employment requirements
  • Must have schedule flexibility for the weekend, holiday, and night shifts
  • Must be able to stand, lift, bend, push, and pull for extended periods of time
  • Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment
  • The ability to work and communicate with all levels of Operations and management.
  • Should possess a work style and conduct that is approachable and hospitable, while motivated to achieve results.
