Position Overview:
At The Wildbirch Hotel, our VALET SERVICE TEAM serve as the welcoming face of our unique boutique property at the main entrance valet point. They are responsible for greeting guests, helping check-ins, accepting/returnning the car to clients, park the car and ensuring each guest enjoys an exceptional stay in Anchorage. The role requires handling guest inquiries, luggage service and managing car check-in and check-out in an efficient, warm, and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcoming guests while ensuring all guest data for the car is accurate in the system.
- Assist guests in luggage service.
- Share in-depth knowledge of the hotel, its amenities, room layouts, and the surrounding Anchorage area, including notable events and activities.
- Process guest payments for park tickets.
- Handle guest requests for car services, aiming to resolve any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain the hotel entrance and valet point area and the parking area as a hub of guest interaction, keeping it organized and supplied.
- Work with other departments to coordinate guest needs and special accommodations.
- Communicate daily with the Front Office Manager to review guest services, priorities, and any additional tasks or special projects.
- Contribute to the warm, inviting atmosphere by managing the lobbys communal space, which features a fireplace, and local art.
Requirements:
- Experience driver with valid license and clean driving record
- Previous valet service, hotel or customer service experience is required.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to read and respond in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Enthusiastic, service-oriented, and with a passion for hospitality and Alaskas vibrant culture.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with web-based tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical & Availability Requirements:
- This role requires standing for long periods and occasional lifting of light materials.
- The hotel operates 24/7, and availability for shifts on weekends, holidays, and nights is expected.
